The couple's young daughter receives checkups and immunizations at a clinic until starting school. A visit to the clinic and the doctor's examination of the child is described. The clinic has maintained records of the child's medical background and provides certification that she has been immunized prior to her school entrance. The father becomes ill after starting a new job and has to visit the hospital emergency room because he has not been cared for by a physician. The family learns how to select a personal physician since they are now protected by health insurance provided through his job.
