China: The Cultural Revolution: Its Aftermath and Effects on Education and Society: A Select and Partially Annotated Bibliography. Education Library Bulletin. Supplement Sixteen.
Fraser, Stewart E.; Kuang-liang, Hsu
Citation of books, monographs, periodical articles, and unpublished materials dating from 1966 through 1971 are included in this annotated bibliography focusing on the effect that the Chinese Cultural Revolution had on education and society. The scope of the work is broad, covering political, economic, social, historical, and military aspects of the revolution upon China. Although the materials are derived from English and Chinese language sources, as well as from Japanese, French, German and Italian publications, the majority of references are available in English language publications. References are made to a variety of bibliographies, biographical dictionaries, yearbooks, terminology dictionaries and similar standard reference works. A brief introduction precedes the major work and provides lists of sources for current research on Communist Chinese education in the four geographical research areas of Hong Kong, B.C.C., Republic of China (Taiwan), The United States, and the People's Republic of China. Arrangement is by type of materials: Books and Monographs; Periodical Articles; and Unpublished Materials. Author entries are arranged alphabetically within each section. A related document is ED 068 411. (SJM)
