Improving Job Tenure Outcomes for People with Disabilities: The 3M Model.
Roessler, Richard T.
Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin, v45 n4 p207-12 Sum 2002
Provides information on a three-part job retention model (3M model) containing "match,""maturity," and "mastery" constructs. Proposes that individuals with disabilities are more likely to retain employment when rehabilitation counselors provide retention services compatible with the 3Ms. Counselors can help people with disabilities (a) establish prerequisite job-person match, (b) meet career maturity challenges, (c) demonstrate mastery of novel workplace problems.
