Comparison of Affective Credit Attitude Scores and Credit Use of College Students at Two Points in Time.

A study of 120 college students' use of credit in 1997 and 1999 showed that, during that time, 60 students graduated; 41 had more credit cards in 1999 than 1997; 62 had fewer; and 32 were repaying student loans. Affective credit attitude scores for those with four or more credit cards and for students who had graduated were lower in 1999 than in 1997. (Contains 20 references.) (JOW)
