The Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources (Winnipeg, Manitoba) provides First Nations youth from across Canada with postsecondary professional education in environmental protection and natural resources management. Program features include convergence of Western and indigenous environmental knowledge, field trips to Native communities, team teaching with elders, and focus on engaging the learner through the experiential learning cycle and cultural context.
