Measuring Self-Perceived Change of Adult Bible Teachers as They Incorporate the Three Learning Domains into Their Teaching Environments
Wilkes, Waid Timothy, Sr.
ProQuest LLC, Ph.D. Dissertation, Capella University
In this mixed methodology study, the researcher became the research practitioner through Educational Action Research. His personal practice of training adult Bible teachers was examined by measuring the self-perceived changes of a group of adult Bible teachers as they were trained to change from their traditional mode of primarily teaching the student's intellect to incorporating all three learning domains (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor) into their teaching environments. This twelve-week process progressed through three cycles, periodically requiring the teachers to look back and reflect on what they learned and how they changed. The researcher used a Chi-square analysis of pretest-posttest questionnaires to measure the perceived changes in the teachers as they implemented their new mode of teaching.
