The Global Resources Program
Jakubs, Deborah
portal: Libraries and the Academy, v9 n3 p327-332 Jul 2009
The AAU/ARL Global Resources Program (GRP) was launched in 1997 with support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to improve access to international research resources through cooperative structures and new technologies and to help libraries contain costs. A joint initiative of the Association of American Universities (AAU) and the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), the GRP in the past decade has motivated many individuals and institutions to collaborate in the development of new models of access to print and digital materials from around the world. In 2003, the GRP (now the Global Resources Network) moved to the Center for Research Libraries (CRL). (Contains 7 notes.)
