This handbook was prepared to aid teachers and teacher educators spread the messages "think metric" and "live metric." It includes a project description of a metric evaluation program and discussions of (1) an inservice training component; (2) a course outline for training programs; (3) the arguments for and against use of the metric system; (4) suggested competencies for students and teachers; (5) a workshop program; (6) support materials; (7) awareness components for parents and other adults; and (8) school district metrification policy.
