Examined the notion of the accountant's stereotype in the context of vocational counseling. Sampled accountants (N=1080) to determine whether the stereotyped, negative image of their profession was reflected in their responses on a well-developed personality inventory. Found that most accountants resemble other business-oriented professionals. (Author/ABB)
