The Effectiveness of a Math Curriculum Coordinator on Student Achievement
Tiller, Tara Watson
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Trevecca Nazarene College
The purpose of this research was to determine if the implementation of a county-wide math coordinator would have a significant impact on students' scale score on the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program, mathematics test, for the 2008-2009 cohort when compared to those students in the cohort of 2007-2008. The results of the study revealed that student performance on the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program was positively affected by the implementation of a county-wide math coordinator. The comparison of the data obtained from the TCAP test indicated that implementing a county-wide math coordinator appeared to have a significant effect on the students with disabilities in grade eight and students classified as economically disadvantaged in grades seven and eight.
