This 14th annual Child Welfare League (CWL) survey of salaries paid by child welfare and families and children's agencies to professional and administrative personnel provides the agencies with current information on salaries paid in various parts of the United States and Canada. A total of 213 questionnaires were sent out, and 190 responses were returned. Each agency was asked to report the total number of full-time and part-time staff employed as of January 1, 1979, as well as total number in each position category. Agencies were also asked to indicate whether the executive director or assistant director received full maintenance and to report the salaries of residential supervisors and child care workers according to whether or not full maintenance was provided. Data concerning the salary distributions and distribution of agencies and staff are presented in 21 tables. (Author/MP)
