Radon Risk Perception and Testing: Sociodemographic Correlates.
Halpern, Michael T.; Warner, Kenneth E.
Journal of Environmental Health, v56 n7 p31-35 Mar 1994
Using information from the 1990 National Health Interview Survey, examined beliefs regarding radon and radon-testing activities among different sociodemographic groups. Results suggest relatively superficial knowledge regarding radon, and little testing, within the survey population. Significantly less knowledge was observed among female and minority respondents. Lower socioeconomic status and educational levels correlated with decreased knowledge. (Author/MDH)
