"Autograph" in the KS3 Classroom
Catley, Alan
Mathematics Teaching Incorporating Micromath, n198 p20-21 Sep 2006
In this article, the author shows some simple examples of ways in which "Autograph" can enhance learning in the KS3 curriculum. He began using version 2 with A-level students to help them visualise concepts in pure mathematics. He has "Autograph" projected to the front board to keep learners focused on mathematical activity during whole class teaching and small group investigations. The author has recently been looking at ways of enhancing KS3 teaching and learning using "Autograph," as version 3 has a very much simplified "standard level" which is perfect for introducing pupils to graphing, geometry and handling data, as well as enhancing understanding of basic algebra skills.
