Conducted national survey to assess preferred settings, work activities, and perceived levels of competency of doctoral students in accredited counseling psychology and counselor education programs. Results reflected stereotypic distinctions between what counselors and counseling psychologists do, and by implication between counselor education and counseling psychology preparation. (Author/NB)
