Farewell Year 12: Chemistry at Nagle College

With one week to go, Year 12 chemistry made their final practical an event to be remembered. We decided to take that infamous Periodic Table to the next level, transforming it into an edible table! Armed with 114 biscuits, multiple tubs filled with coloured icing, plastic knives, and gloves and "Professional" piping bags, we converted the science lab bench into a Periodic Table icing frenzy. Combining all our Mendeleevian masterminds, we constructed our Periodic Table--the Year 12 Chemistry Nagle College way. We must also add that it was definitely the tasty way, leading to a sky-high molarity beyond the saturation intake of C[subscript 6]H[subscript 12]O[subscript 6] and C[subscript 12]H[subscript 22]O[subscript 12]. Equipped with two years of chemistry knowledge, understanding and skills, we searched and found the hidden hypothesis, collected and collated our data and in a strictly scientific way (of course!) we answered all our teacher's questions about the Periodic Table, thanks to 114 biscuits. The aim was to make our own representation of the Periodic Table both memorable for our teacher and ourselves. Here is our list of materials and method which would make any Master Chef envious.
