This issue of "Loblolly Magazine" was written in observance of the 50th anniversary of the U.S. entrance into World War II. The publication features interviews conducted by East Texas high school students with Clarence Otterman, one of the few survivors of the crew of the USS Arizona, which was bombed during the attack on Pearl Harbor, and with a variety of East Texans who were involved in the war, including those who saw active duty and those who remained at home. Numerous black and white photographs illustrate the articles. (DB)
