Roman, Harry T.
Technology Teacher, v66 n6 p21-22 Mar 2007
Teachers do not have to go very far to teach their students about technology education. There are examples right there in the home to keep them and their students quite busy. Many everyday products contain wonderfully fascinating stories and histories of development and invention to keep students totally intrigued. In this article, the author discusses two activities--Detective Game and Exploring Infrastructure--that allow students to investigate how products have developed with time and how infrastructure services--like water, natural gas, telephone, electricity, and sewage--work and the salient points about their development over the last 100 years.
