Using Versions of Literary Texts to Improve Comprehension.

Discusses the use of the original text of Shakespeare's "Macbeth," a simplified version, and a comic-book version of the play in a college-level English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) course. The results indicate that multiple versions of a text can help offset the shortcomings of using only the original text or a simplified version. (three references) (MDM)
