The thirty-one item questionnaire was developed to measure how prepared high school students are for marriage. The students are directed to read each statement and to select a response on a five point scale ranging from agreeing strongly to disagreeing strongly. The scale is scored to indicate three factors which are considered important for a successful heterosexual relationship: 1) how liberal the students' sexual attitudes are; 2) how aware they are of the changing role of women; and 3) how realistic they are about the early difficulties of a marriage.
