Long gone are the days when the study of the internal combustion engine was the core of the transportation curriculum offered in most middle schools and high schools. To be competitive and successful, today's students need a more global understanding of transportation, distribution, and logistics systems. In response to this shift to include logistics and distribution in transportation units of study, the author has developed a technology education activity to spur students' interest in logistics and distribution and give them some ideas about related career opportunities. In this article, the author describes this activity which could be used in any middle school technology education setting. (Contains 3 tables and 1 figure.)
