A Reference Grammar of Dutch, with Exercises and Key.
Fehringer, Carol
This textbook provides an accessible reference grammar of the Dutch language for English-speaking students of Dutch to help consolidate their knowledge through practical exercises on a whole range of grammatical topics. It is intended both for beginners and intermediate level students. Advanced learners of Dutch wishing to review particular grammatical points may also find this book useful. As the grammar is designed for practical use, linguistic terminology is kept to a minimum and only traditional grammar terms are used. This book is divided into two main parts. Part one is a reference of Dutch grammar. Part two consists of a set of exercises relating to the grammatical problems dealt with in part one. The following sections are also included: "List of Grammatical Terms"; "How To Use This Book"; "Didactic Guide for Beginners"; "List of Entries"; "List of Tables"; and "Key to the Exercises." There is also an appendix listing common irregular verbs and an index. (KFT)
