The Work-Life Conundrum: Will HRD Become More Involved?
Kahnweiler, William M.
Human Resource Development Quarterly, v19 n1 p75-83 Spr 2008
Although the scholarly and popular literature on work-life has grown tremendously in the past several decades, and as more and more individuals and organizations grapple with work-life issues, it appears that HRD's involvement in work-life has been modest. It is hoped that this article will serve as a catalyst for discussion and debate among HRD scholars and practitioners regarding HRD's current and future involvement in work-life issues. Suggestions for how our profession can take a more active role in work-life research and practice are offered.
