The Psychologist's Role in P.L. 94-142: Consultation Strategies With Peer Groups of Handicapped Children.
Schroeder, Carolyn S.
The role of the psychologist in the implementation of the six key principles of Public Law 94-142, The Education for All Handicapped Children's Act is one of an advocate and consultant relationship to the school. A strategy for consulting with non-handicapped peers of handicapped children at the junior high school level was investigated with a semantic differential to assess attitude change. Girls showed more positive attitude changes after consultation and boys' attitudes became more negative. (Author)
