Using KPIs To Anchor Strategic Choices.
Rowley, Daniel James
Planning for Higher Education, v25 n2 p29-32 Win 1996-1997
Colleges and universities should approach strategic change by establishing three kinds of key performance indicators (KPIs): mandated (state-mandates or other imposed objectives); management (determined by the administration); and derived (from the special intentions of institutional units). By assembling the three kinds of KPIs, the strategic planning committee has a more focused idea of what to plan for. (MSE)
