Occupational Burnout: A Cross-Cultural Israeli Jewish-Arab Perspective and Its Implications for Career Counseling.
Pines, Ayala Malach
Career Development International, v8 n2 p97-106 2003
Interviews with 485 Jews and 384 Arabs living in Israel showed how different cultural orientations affect occupational burnout. For Arabs, burnout correlated negatively with quality of parent relationships, for Jews with supervisor and coworker relationships. Arabs were significantly less likely to discuss or seek counseling for work-related problems. (Contains 74 references.) (SK)
