This document records testimony from a hearing before the Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education that was held to discuss strengthening career and technical education (CTE) and the need to reform, improve, and modernize current law so that more students can experience the power of this important education. By strengthening CTE policies, there is an opportunity to ensure the law reflects the current realities facing students, workers, and employers today. It is an important opportunity, one that allows more Americans to not only seize opportunities in the workforce, but helps them excel in the high-skilled jobs that exist today.
