A National Bibliographic/Resource Sharing Network for Canadian Academic Libraries. Proceedings of the Conference (Ste-Foy, Quebec, October 24-25, 1979).

These papers discuss various options for a computerized national bibliographic network and highlight the problems and potential of developing such a database. Michael Malinconico; (8) "The Management of the Great Canadian Library Network, or It Would Be Easier to Find the Holy Grail," by Basis Stuart-Stubbs; (9) "National Network Development: Problematic Yet Pandemic," by C. Lee Jones; and (10) "Organizing for a National Bibliographic/Resource Sharing Network: Action Plan," by Hans Moller. Closing papers present summations of the proceedings by American and Canadian reactors, Richard De Gennaro and D. W. Halliwell respectively. (LMM)
