This laboratory manual presents information and techniques dealing with aquatic microbiology as it relates to environmental health science, sanitary engineering, and environmental microbiology. The contents are divided into three categories: (1) ecological and physiological considerations; (2) public health aspects; and (3)microbiology of water and wastewater treatment. Each category contains a series of experiments pertinent to that area of study. These experiments outline the purpose, general references, introductory information, apparatus, and reagents. Schematics are provided for comparison of data collected as an aid for data analysis. (CS)
