This paper presents and discusses the results of a research-informed teaching project carried out to identify key factors in the content and delivery of a successful UK government initiative, the New Entrepreneur Scholarship (NES), from 2001 to 2008. The aim of the project was to evaluate the feasibility of implementing appropriate changes to undergraduate and postgraduate entrepreneurship programmes. The findings highlight deep-rooted issues concerning entrepreneurship education and research. (Contains 1 table, 1 figure, and 2 notes.)
