In Chinese higher environmental education, undergraduate education of environmental engineering starts earliest and develops fastest. The undergraduate has been playing an important role in controlling pollution for more than twenty years. The setting and distribution of the environmental engineering major was analyzed, the conditions of the major, for example teachers, research, experiments, instruments, books, and data, are studied and talent demand and ideas for reformation and development are discussed in this article.
