Work-Stress Burnout in Emergency Medical Technicians and the Use of Early Recollections.
Vettor, Susan M.; Kosinski, Frederick A., Jr.
Journal of Employment Counseling, v37 n4 p216-28 Dec 2000
Numerous studies have indicated a high work-stress burnout rate of emergency medical technicians, although none have used techniques predicting work-stress burnout. Discusses early memories that are representative of emergency medical technicians who may be susceptible to burnout, and memories that may indicate an individual's resistance to burnout. Proposes research to substantiate effectiveness of early recollections in predicting burnout. (Author/JDM)
