Conducted 17-hour marathon group in residential treatment center for 12 incarcerated drug abusers. Used Hill Interaction Matrix to measure types of leader activity and types of member activity during portions of each hour of group activity. Found that, when group was most therapeutic, there was relationship between therapists' actions and behaviors and types of issues discussed. (Author/NB)
