Curricular Track, Career Choice, and Androgyny among Adolescent Females.
Wulff, Mary Beth; Steitz, Jean A.
Adolescence, v32 n125 p43-49 Spr 1997
Investigates psychological androgyny among 40 high school girls enrolled in either an upper-level mathematics class or a vocational track cosmetology class. Results indicate that, contrary to ideas that career choices are linked to sex-role stereotypes, the cosmetology group was significantly more androgynous than was the upper-level mathematics group.
