This document contains vocational education program course standards for technology education programs in Florida. Standards are provided for a total of 32 exploratory courses, practical arts courses, and pretechnical programs offered at the secondary or postsecondary level. Each program course standard consists of a curriculum framework and student performance standards. Each curriculum framework includes four components: major concepts/content, laboratory activities, special notes, and intended outcomes. The student performance standards listed in each individual section are cross-referenced to the intended outcomes in that same section. Included among the areas/aspects of technology covered are the following: aerospace technology, construction technology, manufacturing technology, electricity/electronics, visual communications, home maintenance, power mechanics and energy, industrial skills, applied technology, applied electronics, digital electronics, drafting and design, power and transportation, materials and processes, production technology, technology systems, and technology education for exceptional students.
