Course Outlines in Industrial Arts of the Rumson-Fair Haven Senior Elective Program.
The Rumson-Fair Haven Senior Elective Program was developed and implemented by students, faculty, and administrators over the three-year period from 1971 to 1974. The program offers high school students who complete graduation requirements in the first three years of the four-year program a combination of the following options for the senior year: minicourse electives, independent study, work experience in the community, and preceptorials. The program is conducted in an open space building with an open campus policy. This brochure contains outlines of minicourses in the industrial arts department, listing texts and other bibliographical references and detailing units within the course outlines. Appended to each outline are brief statements on teaching styles and course evaluation methods currently in use in the program. Specific courses listed are Automotive Maintenance, Basic Electricity, Jewelry, Advanced Jewelry, and Lapidary. (Author/PGD)
