Qualitative and quantitative data are presented in this evaluation of the curricular, personnel, and financial status of Miramar College's program in aviation maintenance. The report first provides the results of an interview with the program chairperson, which sought information on program objectives and goals and their determination, the extent to which the goals were being achieved, the importance of the program to the community, major program changes and outcomes of the past three years, predicted changes for the future, the impact of a reduction in program offerings, adverse influences on the program, suggestions for improving outcomes and reducing costs, and types of equipment and services used in the program. The bulk of the report provides data tables summarizing, for the years 1975-76 through 1977-78: (1) program staffing costs and personnel workload; (2) average daily attendance, classes offered, students enrolled, and degrees awarded; (3) job placement percentages; (4) capital equipment outlay; (5) instructional costs; and (6) audio-visual/learning resource expenditures. The report concludes with a list of data sources used during the evaluation. (JP)
