Studied neuropsychological and life-quality changes six months after carotid endarterectomy, superficial temporal artery to middle cerebral artery bypass, multiple revascularization, and vertebrobasilar revascularization procedures. Compared changes with those in patients with recent severe spinal complaints and in patients for whom revascularization was considered but not elected. Found no statistically significant neurobehavioral gain differences. (Author/KS)
