The first of four sections of this guide contains reprints of the following: "But I've Been Doing This for Years: Informal Integration of Vocational and Academic Education Pilot Test Report" (Chris A. Trott, Jr.); and "What Works: When Teachers Integrate Vocational and Academic Education" (June B. Schmidt). The second section, an annotated bibliography of 55 references, includes the following: (1) materials for selecting and using strategies for successful integration; (2) implementation guides for bridging the gap between academic and vocational education; and (3) curriculum materials for teachers. References are categorized as follows: books/guides/handbooks/manuals, literature reviews, model programs, reports, studies, videotapes, and viewpoints. The final two sections list 23 organizations that can provide information, resources, and technical assistance; and 5 newsletters that cover related issues. Materials for the bibliography were selected from the ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) database on DIALOG), the World Wide Web, and the Florida School-to-Work Clearinghouse database.
