A statistical abstract covering the breadth of higher education in the state of North Carolina is presented. Extensive data on current enrollment, enrollment trends, undergraduate transfers, degrees conferred, faculty, library resources, costs to students, admissions, student financial aid, and student housing are provided. The data, collected and published annually, should be useful to planners and administrators in the colleges and universities and in state agencies in making more effective use of resources allocated to higher education in the state.
