This volume contains the report and recommendations of the United Nations-sponsored meeting on population growth and demographic structure which was held in Paris, November 1992. Materials in the volume can serve as useful tools for future research on the relations between population, environment, and development and further the work of the United Nations in those areas. Gathered under the nine parts are 23 chapters which represent individual papers. Extensive tables and figures accompany these materials and are listed for each separate chapter. (BT)
