eText, Mathematics, and Students with Visual Impairments: "What Teachers Need to Know"
Bouck, Emily C.; Meyer, Nancy K.
TEACHING Exceptional Children, v45 n2 p42-49 Nov-Dec 2012
Mathematics is an important educational component for students with visual impairments, and technology to support the access to and success of students with visual impairments in mathematics is essential. However, little research exists. This particular paper explores one aspect of technology and mathematics education for students with visual impairments: eText players. The article provides information about eText for mathematics, considerations for implementation, and case studies to provide context to the technology in practice for a range of students with visual impairments.
