The collective bargaining agreement between the Glendale Community College District and the Glendale College Guild is presented. This contract, covering the period from November 16, 1988 through June 30, 1991, deals with the following topics: bargaining agent recognition; district rights; guild rights; grievance procedures; work stoppages; hours (including basic and office hours, teaching loads, assignment limitations, credit by examination, counselor attendance at meetings, and assignment travel time); leaves of absence; salaries; evaluation procedures and personnel files; minimum and maximum class size, including the formula for large lecture classes; health and welfare benefits; miscellaneous provisions concerning physical examinations and physician reports, payroll deductions, division chair load reductions, academic senate release time, and other matters; the effect of the agreement; and duration, termination, and negotiations. Appendixes provide information on salary schedules, summer session agreements, work year definitions, faculty evaluation, instructional television, an optional reduced workload program, and a professional services agreement.
