Graduate Placement Report 1990: New Hampshire Technical Colleges & Institute.

This annual placement report provides information on the students who graduated from the New Hampshire Technical Institute and the six New Hampshire Vocational Technical Colleges in 1990. The report presents statewide data on the educational and job status of the graduates; their field of employment; numbers and percentages of graduates employed within New Hampshire; salary ranges and averages by field; average graduate starting salaries for the last 10 years; data on graduates by field for each of the seven schools; a list of four-year institutions to which graduates transferred; and a list of employers of 1990 graduates. Study findings include the following: (1) in 1990, 488 men and 582 women graduated from the postsecondary technical educational system; (2) 73% of the graduates went directly to full-time employment, and 5% took part-time employment; (3) 92% of the employed graduates were working in areas related to their field of study and 81% were working within New Hampshire, with the remainder generally employed in New England; (4) the nursing programs had the largest numbers of graduates (n=257); (5) 92% of the employed graduates could commute to their jobs from their homes; and (6) average starting salaries were $16,562 for business program graduates, $18,521 for technical and industrial program graduates, $22,704 for health program graduates, and $26,627 for general associate degree graduates.
