Developed for kindergarten through grade 3, this curriculum guide suggests activities to satisfy the Florida state requirement on law education. Activities are to be infused into the curriculum where appropriate for reading and social studies. Suggested lessons concern family law, are grouped according to grade level, and include student goals and objectives. Kindergarten and first-grade lessons emphasize family situations and learning personal manners. Second-grade lessons help students identify rules and examine consequences of personal actions. They also cover procedures for a trial and include directions for conducting a mock trial. Third-grade lessons focus on gaining awareness of the elderly and also the need to recognize cultural differences within the community. A list of community resources for family law is included. (DB)
