Montana Two-Year College Enrollment Information and General Economic/Demographic Data for Montana.
Brooks, Phillip D.
This two-part report provides enrollment figures for the Montana public community colleges, independent tribal community colleges, and vocational-technical colleges; and reviews general economic and demographic conditions in the state. The first section contains data tables providing information on: (1) total student headcount, full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment, and fiscal year FTE by term and college for the 1989-90 fiscal year for each of Montana's public community and vocational-technical centers; (2) comparative institutional headcount enrollments for fall 1988 and fall 1989 for each institution in the community college, tribal college, and vocational-technical systems; (3) full-time and part-time enrollments by college for fall 1988 and fall 1989; (4) comparative institutional headcount enrollment by college for fall 1989 and fall 1990; (5) FTE enrollment by college for fall 1989 and fall 1990 for the community colleges and vocational-technical system; and (6) the numbers of new students who transferred to each institution of higher education in Montana for fall 1988 and fall 1989 from each college in the state. The second section of the report begins with a historical overview of Montana's economic and demographic conditions for three eras, 1880-1920, 1920-1980, and the 1980's. A prospective outlook for 1990-95 is also provided. Next, a series of graphs provide specific data for each year from 1980 to the present, and project figures through the year 1995. These graphs provide longitudinal population totals for the state, the 18-24 year old age group, high school graduates, the 25-34 year old age group, the 35-54 year old age group, and the 55-74 year old age group.
