After outlining the nature of children's learning in kindergarten, expectations for parent participation, and teachers' responsibilities, this paper presents aspects of a child-centered kindergarten curriculum. Listed first are long-term and short-term objectives which are pertinent to the role of the kindergarten teacher. These are followed by a list of teaching goals and guidelines for instruction. Finally, content is outlined for social, logico-mathematical, spatial-temporal, physical, and representational areas of the curriculum. (RH)
