This annotated bibliography was compiled to help educators understand organizational change in schools. The purpose is to provide ideas that will help avoid wasted effort and reduce heartbreak in the application of change processes. This third edition omits at least one-third of the entries from the second edition. Items dropped are those superseded by more up-to-date writings. Entries dated earlier than 1970 have been reduced to a minimum. The authors admit that their topic selection process is personal and arbitrary. They have tried to select writings from journals commonly available in university libraries and from books whose publishers' addresses may easily be found. The bibliography contains 662 annotated entries. The index identifies articles by topic, author's name, and areas of interest. (MD)
