This self-instructional module, the thirteenth in a series of 16 on techniques for coordinating work experience programs, deals with vocational student organizations. Addressed in the module are the following topics: the major goals and purposes of vocational student organizations, the role of the teacher-coordinator as a local chapter advisor, and the purposes and procedures for developing a local vocational student organizational program. The module contains a series of pretests, learning activities, and self-checks; a sample program of work (written outline of the activities a local vocational student organization plans to accomplish for the year) planning form; a posttest; answers to the pretests and posttest; and a list of additional resources.
