Maryland Statewide Plan for Postsecondary Education, November 1982. Fourth Annual Review.
Maryland State Board for Higher Education, Annapolis.
The extent to which Maryland postsecondary institutions are fulfilling major mission statements is reviewed by campus, and 5-year program plans are presented. In addition, information is presented on enrollments, programs, finance, facilities, faculty, and libraries. The admission criteria implemented by the public four-year institutions are identified, along with statistical profiles of the entering classes for 1979-1981, and retention rates for 1977-1980. Data are also presented on the percentages of lower-division students for each of the past 5 years, trends in new community college transfer students, graduate enrollment trends, and contracts and grants received at University of Maryland campuses. Additional enrollment data include: the number of new full-time freshmen during the last 3 years; freshmen enrollments plans for the next 10 years, and total enrollment projections in Maryland institutions. College program data include: programs for registered nurses, programs for high ability students, and off-campus programs. Data on finance, facilities, and limited data on faculty and libraries are included. (SW)
