The Subcommittee on Aging of the House of Representatives was provided with information on the administration's plan to eliminate the older workers jobs program authorized by Title V, Older Americans Act. Testimony for each hearing begins with opening statements by members of the subcommittee. Statements follow from approximately 40 witnesses and audience participants representing program participants; Ohio Green Thumb; Office of Management Assistance, U.S. Employment and Training Administration; Director of Old Worker Program; Federal Council on the Aging Evaluation of the Title V program; National Committee on Careers for Older Americans; Massachusetts Association of Older Americans; Affairs of the Elderly, City of Boston; New York City Department for the Aging; and former Title V employees.
